Cal has nearly a decade of experience in Vermont politics: supporting local and statewide candidates and elected officials in every corner of the state in building effective campaigns, communications, and political strategy. Born and raised in the Upper Valley and passionate about exploring and getting to know communities throughout the state, he is now a resident of Montpelier.
Cal graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in Geography and Political Science, completing an honors thesis entitled: Does “Vermonter” Matter? – Cultural Identity and Belonging among Longtime Residents, Newcomers, and Political Candidates in Vermont.
He serves on the State Board of Dismas of Vermont, a statewide organization providing housing and community support for individuals leaving incarceration, and enjoys spending time in our green hills in every season.
